You are not a thing. You are a happening.
Light doesn’t know what it is until you look at it.
Observe it one way, it behaves like a particle — a hard, single point. Observe it another, it spreads like a wave across everything. It is both — until the moment you observe it, and force it to collapse into one.
Sit with that. The most fundamental unit of reality has no fixed identity. It becomes what the moment asks of it.
Now look at yourself.
You call yourself a name. A role. A title on a business card. You’ve spent your life collapsing a vast, infinite wave into a single, exhausting point — and then wondered why you feel so small.
The hardest question I’m ever asked is the simplest one: what do you do?
Am I a Kathak dancer who researches and performs her work on quantum possibilities? A Guru who blends number theory, chemistry, and neuroscience into her classes? A wellness practitioner who heals through the frequency and vibration of sound? A speaker who fights to save the planet through our forgotten bond with nature? An entrepreneur running companies across tech, fashion, and wellness? Or simply a mother of two teenage queens, reliving my own childhood through them?
For years I fumbled for the answer. Then I stopped.
Now I simply reflect the part where the light is falling — I let people meet the ME they came expecting. Because the truth is there are so many of me inside, each one wanting the lead. And I let them. They take turns. Each one gets to be the hero of the story.
The Rishis wrote this long before physics found the courage to. Tat Tvam Asi. You are not the wave. You are not the particle. You are the field in which both arise.

This is the July page of my calendar: Identity. A dancer split between two states — one half sculpted in stillness, the particle; one half dissolving into motion, the wave. A Vedic line and a physicist’s equation, sharing one breath — because they were always saying the same thing.
So when you ask yourself who you are — instead, answer how many of you are waiting for their turn to lead.
Which one have you been holding back? And which one have you been quietly dreaming to become?
