Kathak Salons | Aparna Mishra
— THE SALONS —

Many mediums — one mastery.

A Kathak Salon is a private, curated experience — where Aparna's signature therapeutic methodologies are tailored to the person, the purpose, and the moment.

Offered one-on-one, in small groups, or by invitation — for individuals, families, teenagers, growing children, and corporate leadership.

Each salon begins with a conversation and is shaped entirely around the person before her — held to a single intention: to deliver the transformation the person came for, and return them with something that endures.

— THE INVITATION —
One discipline, many dimensions.

For three decades, Aparna Mishra has carried a single discipline — Kathak — into worlds it was never expected to enter. The corporate stage and the nursery. The family sanctum and the leadership off-site. The private residency and the intimate circle of a few.

Each salon is curated, never replicated — shaped around the person, the purpose, and the sacred quiet of the moment it is asked to hold.

Natya Yoga
NATYA YOGA®
Where Kathak becomes therapy. Where movement becomes medicine.

A signature therapeutic practice conceived by Aparna Mishra — integrating classical Kathak with Vedic philosophy, breathwork, frequency-based sound, and contemporary science into a single meditative experience for the body, mind, and conscience.

It works through the navarasa — the nine emotional frequencies — and the panchatatwa, the five elements — using rhythmic patterns that guide the practitioner into deeper states of self-awareness. Releasing what the body holds. Recalibrating what the mind carries. Awakening what neither words nor thought can reach. This is Kathak, reimagined as medicine.

Kathak For Him
KATHAK FOR HIM™
A workshop. A stage. A dialogue. For men.
Where movement, voice, and presence meet on equal ground.

Designed for the corporate stage, the leadership off-site, the brand activation, and the boardroom that has heard every other keynote — Kathak for Him™ brings men into the discipline of classical Indian movement as a vehicle for embodied leadership.

The mathematical precision of taal and matras. The cognitive demand of rhythm and pattern. The postural command and emotional fluency the form has always required. The elevating frequencies of live classical music. Each element works on the man — not as instruction, but as experience.

"The masculine programming of mind and body — re-aligned through Kathak."

Pathfinder
PATHFINDER™
The Early-Years Programme.
For children aged 3 to 8 · Select schools & private engagements

Where Kathak becomes the architecture of becoming — not a class, but a curated developmental experience built for the most consequential years of a child's life.

Between the ages of three and eight, the brain is constructing the very scaffolding of attention, emotional regulation, and social intelligence. Pathfinder™ enters this window deliberately — using classical Kathak to build motor refinement, sensory awareness, expressive language, emotional fluency, and the early seeds of conscience and self-reflection.

Not as curriculum. As experience.

Offered as school partnerships, private small-group salons, and curated for the individual child on request.

Ages 3–8 · School partnerships · Private small groups
Conscience Coaching
CONSCIENCE COACHING®
A private practice in identity, awareness, and the quiet architecture of self.

Designed for adolescents aged ten to nineteen — the years when identity, discernment, and emotional intelligence are being built, often without guidance. The years the school system rarely has time for.

Drawing from Kathak, philosophy, and years of work with the young adult mind, Conscience Coaching® offers the teenager something most never receive — a dedicated space to understand who they are becoming, and the inner tools to shape it deliberately.

Offered as private one-on-one, small group, or school partnership.

Ages 10–19 · Private one-on-one · Small group · School partnership
Bespoke Salons
BESPOKE SALONS™
Curated to the requirement, the theme, or the moment.
When the other four formats are not the answer.

A salon designed entirely around the engagement — corporate retreats, family gatherings, philanthropic evenings, milestone celebrations, wellness residencies. Half-day, full-day, or weekend. Hosted in heritage venues, private estates, or a setting of your choosing.

Every detail is shaped around the occasion, the people, and the intention behind the invitation. The salon begins where the conversation does.

Invitation only · Private · Curated end to end
"Five formats. One discipline. Each curated, never replicated."
— BEGIN THE CONVERSATION —
Every salon Aparna curates begins with a conversation — to understand what the person carries in, what the occasion demands, and what the moment requires. Whether for the individual, the family, the teenager, the growing child, or the corporate leadership — the first step is always the same. A conversation.

Who is Aparna Mishra?
Aparna Mishra is a Kathak philosopher, holistic therapist, and cultural humanitarian based in Mumbai. Trained in the Benaras Gharana from age three, she has spent three decades reimagining Kathak as a living language of healing — bringing together classical Indian arts, Vedic philosophy, and contemporary science. She is the architect of Natya Yoga®, founder of Wellbeing Aacharya® and Kala Saadhna®, and Founder-Director of Shivaakriti Creations Pvt Ltd. Her work is delivered across Mumbai, Dubai, Singapore, and London — through curated salons, experiential keynotes, cinematic performances, and the humanitarian work of the Shivaakriti® Foundation.
What is Natya Yoga®?
Natya Yoga® is a proprietary therapeutic methodology architected by Aparna Mishra. It integrates Kathak with contemporary science, Vedic philosophy, breathwork, and frequency-based sound — bringing them together as a meditative practice for the body, mind, and conscience. It works with the navarasa (nine emotional frequencies), the panchatatwa (five elements), and rhythmic patterns designed to guide the practitioner into deeper states of self-awareness. Natya Yoga® is not a form of asana-based yoga. It is offered by Aparna as one-on-one sessions and small curated group salons, held by invitation.
What are the five Salon formats offered by Aparna Mishra?
Aparna curates five distinct salon formats — each shaped for a different seeker. The five are: Natya Yoga® (a meditative therapeutic salon for individuals and small groups); Kathak for Him™ (a masculine format for the corporate floor, the conference stage, and the leadership off-site); Pathfinder™ (early-years foundational salons for children aged three to eight); Conscience Coaching® (formative-years salons for adolescents aged ten to nineteen); and Bespoke Salons™ (invitation-only private curated salons for the individual, the family, or the intimate gathering).
What is Kathak for Him™?
Kathak for Him™ is a masculine leadership format designed by Aparna Mishra for the corporate floor, the conference stage, the brand activation, and the leadership off-site. It brings men into the discipline of classical Indian movement as a vehicle for embodied leadership — blending the mathematical precision of taal and matras, the cognitive workout of rhythm and pattern, the postural strength and facial command that the form demands, the emotional fluency of abhinaya, and the elevating frequencies of live classical music. It is, in a single sense, the masculine body in conversation with the masculine mind — through the oldest Indian language for both.
What is Pathfinder™ and what age is it for?
Pathfinder™ is Aparna Mishra's early-years salon programme, shaped for children between the ages of three and eight. It uses the discipline, rhythm, and expressive vocabulary of Kathak to build cognitive foundations, motor coordination, emotional intelligence, and the beginnings of self-awareness in the child. It is offered as school partnerships and as private small-group salons, and can be curated for the individual child on request.
What is Conscience Coaching®?
Conscience Coaching® is Aparna's salon format designed for adolescents aged ten to nineteen — the formative years when identity, discernment, and inner architecture take shape. Drawing from Kathak, philosophy, and years of work with the young adult mind, the salon offers the young person a rare inner space in which to build the sovereign self. Offered as private one-on-one, small group, or school partnership.
How much does a Kathak Salon by Aparna Mishra cost?
Each salon is bespoke — shaped for the individual, the group, the room, and the intention. Fees vary accordingly and are shared on enquiry, once the format and scope have been discussed. Investment is on request. All engagements begin with a conversation on WhatsApp at +91 7506 065 858 or by email at [email protected].
Where does Aparna Mishra hold her salons?
Aparna delivers her salons across four primary cities — Mumbai, Dubai, Singapore, and London — with regular seasons in Dubai and Singapore, and international engagements on invitation. Salons are curated in private homes, invitation-only residencies, corporate boardrooms, hospitality venues, and dedicated wellness spaces — always in a setting appropriate to the format and the seeker.
Is Aparna Mishra taking new students for Kathak or Natya Yoga®?
Aparna's Salons are curated engagements rather than an open-enrolment school. Each is shaped around the seeker who has arrived — with careful attention to intention, readiness, and fit. Serious enquiries from those interested in deeper work are welcomed via email at [email protected]. Foundational Kathak training for children and young adults is available through Kala Saadhna®, Aparna's founding institution.
Can a company or institution book Aparna Mishra for a group salon?
Yes. Aparna curates group and corporate salons — including Kathak for Him™ for leadership teams, Natya Yoga® salons for private group retreats, and Bespoke Salons™ for intimate corporate gatherings, brand activations, wellness residencies, and cultural programmes. Every engagement is architected specifically for the room and the occasion. Enquiries begin with a conversation at [email protected].
What makes the Aparna Mishra salons different from other Kathak or wellness offerings?
Aparna is one of very few practitioners in the world bringing together the classical Indian arts, the Vedic sciences, and contemporary science into a single therapeutic and philosophical practice. The Salons are not classes, and they are not performances. They are curated experiences — each shaped around the seeker who has arrived. Three decades of practice, a proprietary methodology (Natya Yoga®), and a Founder-Director who personally curates each engagement — this is what a salon by Aparna Mishra offers.
